Basis of the Selection of Queen Bees

Original in Spanish

Are the illnesses of the bees primarily cause of the bees or of the degraded ecosystems where we put them to produce? Is there a bee which is able to produce more in thoses ecosystems? How to help the producer find a more appropriate genetic material? The argentinean honey production was always accompanied by very good breeders of queens, some of whom are experts in the selection.

EDITOR WORDS:
A NEW SEASON IS ON MOVE

Api-Expo Rio Cuarto 2005At the end of July, the new season will be appearing in the north of the country, shortly after we will be revising the food reservations, adding syrups and motivating our beehives so that our bees take advantage of the brief flowering the most.
At this time we have maybe the lowest price that the honey has reached from the collapse caused by nitrofurane and its metabolites. That ghost is becoming agitated to scare other honey producers countries, where it is probably that will happen the same than here: desperation for selling as soon as possible for any price, obviously it decreases to be lower and lower.
So that the volumes of exported honey have increased in the first semester of the year. We think that this quantity of cheap honey available in the market will intensify it again and new actors will be tempted to invest in the honey business because the intert rates are low and funds of foreign debt purchasing for the small European investors has their risks. For that we think (we wish?) that at the end of this year a more sustained demand changes the tendency to the fall that the price of the honey has had and gradually it does take us out of the current underground in which we are submerged.
Due to the fall of the prices, started a new interest for forming new associations of producers to defend the interests that the old associations had forgotten, so they had stopped being representative...
Will these effort be able to get by, when the organizations have to face the pressures of the market? I wish so, and the conscience and the organization conquer the time... as once was said.
In this way a Beekeeping Companies Chamber is being carried out at this time.
Finally and due to the support of many of our sponsors, we hope to be present in the next Apimondia Congress in Dublin, strengthening our presence to be able to capture the biggest possible information that will help us to maintain or correct our way in this "Espacio Apícola" (Beekeeping space). Sincerely
The Director

The different beekeeping meetings that have been carried out during the year, have summoned less public than the three previous years and they reflect an important decrease of the commercial activity specially in the sale of inputs to the beekeeper. RESULTS AND DISCUCION
CONCLUSIONS
We can say that honeys with similar botanical composition can have similar aminoacid profiles. According to the results obtained the aminoacidic profile can be useful to determinate the geographic and floral origin of the honeys.

VARIABLES OF HIGH INCIDENCE AND DIFFICULT QUANTIFICATION IN THE ANALYSES OF BEEKEEPING COSTS. Fernando Loser. Api-Expo RÍO CUARTO 2005. Córdoba. Argentina.floser@sampacho.com.ar
Fernando Loser, beekeeper and accountant
The Federal Council of Investments (CFI) witht the Secretary of Agriculture, Cattle, Fishing and Feeding of the Nation (SAGPyA) diffussed at the end of 2004, beggining of 2005 a software to determinate costs of the beekeeping production called "Development of the standard costs in Argentina".
After having found wrong information, we realise that its development was very similar to the one which produced the accusation of Dumping made by the Department of Commerce of the United States in the 2000, we request to the Beekeeper from Sampacho (Cordoba province) and National Public Accountant Mr. Fernando Loser, that makes an analysis of this work, having into account the variables that we consider have influence in the analysis of the beekeeping costs and are at the same time difficult to be measured.
This presentation was made by Mr. Loser during the "XIII Fair and Beekeeping Meeting from the Center of the Country" in Río Cuarto city last May (2005).
This work has the following subtitles:
