The convocation of carrying out an Argentine Beekeeping Regions Meeting in the Api-Expo San Francisco 2000 that we made last year at the end of "Río Cuarto" edition, will have its first concretion in a few days.
Around the «8th Fair and Beekeeping Meeting of the Center of the Republic» we have opened a participation space and dialogue, with few «norms», with a couple of clear premises and with everything to make.
Starting from the presentation of a simple poster, our intention is to offer you a space where you in particular, or the group to which belongs, have the possibility to show without nobody seeks to capitalize an interest for itself, neither it stops its organization.
You have the opportunity to show your reality, your initiative, your proposal, your work. It is in those who have the responsibility of governing, of legislating or simply of coordinating the activities of some beekeeping entity, to come closer, to observe, to ask and to learn of you to make more effective their service.
In fact all the institutions, from the base organizations until the legal norms, they are created to guarantee the rights and participation of their associates or beneficiaries.
This way we believe to contribute to the Argentine Beekeeping growth, giving you a space to show and giving to the different national structures the opportunity to assume your initiatives, your ideas, your necessities to reorganize their structures and services.
For modest or irrelevant that you think that it is your contribution, it is not. You are worth, your work, your family, your illusion.
In front of so much discrimination that the globalization takes place, let us say present!.

Services Infrastructure grows inland Argentina
Sandra Veliz y Roxana Glerean, tecnicas del CREACyT, en la provincia de San Luis

To a year of our first visit, the CREACyT laboratory techniques, in San Luis' province, Lic. Roxana Glerean and Sandra Veliz gave us an activities synthesis developed during their first year of work in the beekeeping area.-
Hired by the CFI, those mentioned professionals were arrive at Labroatories Procedures Manuals preparation for honey analysis laboratories.
At the present time they are beginning in the determination of toxic residuals in honey and making a manual of Good Factory Practices for beekeepers.
We give to our readers' consideration the synthesis that they remitted us. It include the following topics:

Are we Treating Bad Varroa?

The fight against varroa has become the angular stone of the beekeeping handling. Of the control treatments success or failure depends the economic result in great measure.
Therefore, it is indispensable to maintain a low varroa percentage along the whole season, since it is known that the larvas that have suffered the stings of the varroas will be mature bees of short survival and poor person acting. This in the best cases, because the acarus is vectorial of virus and bacterias that can kill or atrophy to the future bees totally.

National Debate
The Beekeepers Cooperative Federation of Buenos Aires province and the Argentine Beekeepers Society (SADA) they have exchanged through "Espacio Apícola" different positions fixed regarding the advance of certain national legislations.
The topics in conflict are:
- The bill presented by deputy "Passo" about a fund creation to promote the internal honey consumption. Federation to favor and SADA in against.
- The norm 220/95 of SENASA that regulates the demands for the Honey Extraction rooms. SADA in against.
Both articles denote the different interests that they gather beekeepers in both institutions.

 Importance and Possibilities to Implement Beekeeping Quality Systems

«Importance and Possibility to Implement Beekeeping Quality Systems» is the title that we choose for the conference that María del Carmen Fernández Lic., of Foods and Health Department of the IRAM, will give us on Saturday 6 of next May in the Api-Expo San Francisco 2000.-
In last March, after some previously telephone and e-mail communications, "Espacio Apícola" visited the Argentinean Mormalization Institute (IRAM), Peru 552 - Buenos Aires, in order to inviting some of their technicians to participate of the «8ª Fair and Beekeeping Meeting of the Center of the Republic».-
At this time we were received by Jorge Blanco Lic. who was coordinating the norm commission of those «metallic cylindrical Drums for honey of 230 liters» (IRAM norm number 6045), for Juan Carlos Troiano Lic. that participated next to the previous one in the norm referred to those «Materials for Beekeeping» (IRAM norm number 114001) and Fernández Lic., current coordinator of the "Honey" subcommittee in this institute.

General Sanitary Beehives Handling
Dr. Oscar Osvaldo Ostolaza con su hija mayor y un colaborador, en uno de los apiarios en las cercanías de Victoria, en la provincia de Entre Ríos - Argentina

It pleases us to introduce you to Mr. Oscar Osvaldo Ostolaza, beekeeper and biochemical, to who we have invited to lecture in the Api-Expo San Francisco 2000 about the «General Sanitary Beehives Handling».
Oscar is a married about 40 year-old man, with two children. He lives in Rosario del Tala, Entre Ríos province. He has been biochemical for 16 years and about 10 that he is a beekeeper too.
Almost from his beekeeping beginnings he applies his knowledge to investigate in topics of beehives diseases.
He administers the beekeeping works in some 18.000 ha. in his native province and he advises in the sanitary handling to several "entrerrianos" beekeepers, an approximate total of 60.000 beehives.
With occasion of the invitation that we carried out him, "Espacio Apícola" visited him in his paternal house in Victoria, a colonial town that soon will be transformed their life totally starting from the construction of the freeway Rosario-Victoria that is very next to their conclusion.
We offer to our readers part of the dialogue that we maintained to familiarize with a person of few words, of deep feelings and of an experience and knowledge very interesting.
